How many dolphin kicks are allowed in one swimming event?
I was wondering if you do more than 1 dolphin kick you will be disqualifed. My brother swims and he says that your only allowed 1 dolphin kick…I think he was swimming freestyle or something.

Depends what stroke your are swimming. Now it is legal for 1 dolphin kick in breastroke pull down, but free, back, and fly can have as many as you want until you reach 15 meters. If you underwater pass 15 meters, you are disqualified. Try to doplhin kick as fast and as much as possible.

Okay… For each stroke…
Freestyle: Dolphin Kicking is allowed off the block and off your turn underwater. Meaning right when you jump in until you surface and until you surface off your flipturn.
Butterfly: Obviously allowed always.
Breaststroke: Allowed one Dolphin Kick off the Turn and Off the Block. anything more and you are disqualified.
Backstroke: Same rules as Freestyle. You can Dolphin kick as long as you’re underwater off the turn and the start.
There ya go!
ALSO: for clarification, no matter what you can not go an entire length of the pool underwater dolphin kicking. even to the flags on the opposite end is legal, but you need at least two full complete arm rotations to make it legit.
