How many dolphin kicks when you start breast?

I am on the swim team and I was told that you can only do one dolphin kick when you pull on the start. Later on during a meet, I saw someone do a series of dolphin kicks underwater. Im guessing that guy got DQ’d but I just want to make sure so I can gain the best advantage on my start with breastsroke.

once you kick off the wall as long as you stay under water and do not stroke with your arms you can dolphin kick as long as you can hold your breath.

You get one dolphin kick “during or at the end” of your single underwater pull. The person you saw doing multiple kicks should have been disqualified, but could have slipped through — the judges sometimes miss things.

See the link below for rule clarification.

When you push off the wall, you are allowed an arm pull, one dolphin kick and then your regular breaststroke kick. You are only allowed multiple dolphin kicks on free, back and fly. On those strokes you can only kick underwater for 15 yards or you’ll be DQed.
