Is it illegal to eat dolphin; pertaining to the porpoise group?

I already know that the species of Irawaddy dolphin is illegal, but the normal dolphin you see at sea or in your neighborhood themepark is the one that interests me.

It’s illegal to catch them and kill them. That’s why tuna companies get in a lot of trouble if there is dolphin mixed in with the tuna.

I believe they are protected due to fishermen accidentally catching them out in international waters. I think it would be rather cruel to eat one; it probably wouldn’t taste that good either.

I dont think it would be tastey.
And the only way you could probably “catch” one is to harpoon it . Thats what might be illegal.

If you saw them in the wild though I really think you would be in awe and not want to harm them.

Why won’t you want to eat a dolphin? It’s no different than eating a deer, except it might have more of a fishy taste. And seriously, why do people freak out over eating dolphin?
